Background and experience
About & CV
I'm a software engineer and platform architect based in the Czech Republic. I've worked on Linux, cloud platforms, observability and the infrastructure behind products for more than 14 years.
I was an engineer or architect at tcp cloud and Volterra, both of which were acquired (by Mirantis and F5 respectively). Now I'm a Principal Engineer at Lumilens, a startup working on edge-to-cloud systems. Outside work I build Cognis, Intaris and Mnemory: an agent workspace, guardrails and memory.
Experience
Lumilens | Principal Engineer | 2025–present
Engineering systems that connect edge devices to cloud services.
F5 | Principal Engineer | 2021–2025
I designed and built observability systems for the XC platform and SRE teams, and infrastructure for immutable OS images using OSTree.
Volterra | Software Engineer | 2018–2021
I worked on the infrastructure behind the Volterra platform before its acquisition by F5.
Mirantis | Cloud Architect | 2016–2018
I helped integrate tcp cloud's platform at Mirantis and build containerized OpenStack deployment tooling.
tcp cloud | Cloud Platform Architect | 2015–2016
At tcp cloud, I worked on the lifecycle of OpenStack-based private clouds and open-sourced Salt formulas.
GoodData | Platform Architect | 2011–2015
I worked on platform operations, releases, deployment tooling and architecture.
What I work with
Python and Linux are constants. My work has also involved Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability systems such as Prometheus, Grafana and Vector, and deployment infrastructure from cloud to edge.
Away from work, I'm interested in home automation and good coffee.
